The workers of a Apple Inc. store near Baltimore has become the second in the country to run for union office.

The proposed union would represent 110 workers, according to a petition filed with the National Labor Relations Board. By law, organizers must show at least 30% support before holding a union election, but organizers told the Washington Post that 65% of the workforce have already signed pro-union cards.

A group of employees at Apple stores in Atlanta will hold the company’s first union election starting June 2. These workers are represented by the Communications Workers of America, while workers in Maryland work with the International Association of Machinists. A third group of workers would organize an Apple store in Manhattan under Workers United, the union behind the recent wave of organizing at Starbucks.

“We are blessed with amazing members of the retail team and deeply appreciate all that they bring,” an Apple spokesperson said in a statement. “We are pleased to offer very strong compensation and benefits for full-time and part-time employees, including health care, tuition reimbursement, new parental leave, paid family leave, grants annual shares and many other benefits.”
