A Mega Millions ticket valued at $ 3 million was sold in Maine on Friday night.
The winning numbers drawn on Friday night were 7-29-43-56-57 with a Mega Ball of 6 and a Megaplier 3.
The winning Match 5 ticket was the five numbers that are worth $ 1 million, but because the ticket also played the optional Megaplier, the ticket is worth $ 3 million. A second Match 5 ticket was sold in Missouri but did not play the Megaplier.
The location where the winning Maine ticket was sold has yet to be announced by the Maine Lottery.
The MegaMillions jackpot stands at a value of $ 300 million for the next draw on Tuesday with a cash option of $ 206.7 million. No one has won the jackpot since the October 20 draw. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 45 states.
The Powerball twin game jackpot with an annuity value of $ 632.6 million ($ 450.2 million in cash) was won in Wednesday’s draw with tickets sold in California and Wisconsin.
A ticket to win the Mega Millions jackpot has never been sold in Maine, according to the game’s website. A Portsmouth group won a Mega Millions annuity jackpot of $ 168 million ($ 108.5 million in cash) in 2019.
